Abstract
This Law establishes the Food Aid Programme (Programa Cozinha Solidária), which provides free food, preferably to people in situations of vulnerability and social risk, including the homeless, and aims to promote food and nutritional security policies, social assistance, the realisation of social rights, human dignity, social rescue and improved quality of life within the State of Amapá. The objectives of the Programme are: promote and guarantee the right to food; guarantee sanitary spaces for food; ensure regular access to quality food in sufficient quantity; reduce hunger and food and nutritional insecurity; build health-promoting and sustainable food practices; disseminating concepts of food and nutrition education, making full use of food and applying sanitary standards for handling food; promoting food production by family farmers, etc.
