Law No. 2.964 creating the State Policy on Agroecology and Organic Production.

This Law establishes the State Policy for Agroecology, Organic Production and Socio-Biodiversity in the State of Amapá (PEAPOS/AP). The State Policy aims at promoting and encouraging sustainable rural development, based on strengthening economic units, preferably family-based agricultural units and associations, cooperatives etc., including family farmers, small breeders, artisanal fishers, aquaculture producers, indigenous peoples and traditional communities, and agrarian reform settlers, through the valorization of the ecological, economic and social role by Amapá society through agroecology, organic production and socio-biodiversity in the State.
