Law No. 3011 creating the State Policy for Community Tourism in the State of Amapá.

This Law creates the State Policy for Community Tourism within the State of Amapá. Community tourism is community-based tourism, aimed at unifying the values of good living, solidarity economy and fair trade, as a socio-economic activity planned and carried out by rural and traditional communities, in the countryside, in the city, in the forest and on the water, etc. The guidelines of this policy are: encourage the carrying out of activities aimed at Community-Based Tourism; promote methods of using natural resources in a sustainable manner, with respect for essential ecological processes and biological diversity; promote the direct use of resources in protected areas on a sustainable basis aimed at the preservation of natural landscapes; encourage the creation of units aimed at the valorization of traditional communities; promote the conservation of the natural landscape in areas of traditional communities; promote respect for the sociocultural authenticity of traditional peoples; promote intercultural understanding and tolerance; encourage the carrying out of long-term economic activities; guide the adoption of sustainable tourism practices; support long-distance trails with the aim of providing recreation, creating connectivity between forest and generating employment and income through sustainable tourism practices.
