This Law establishes the State Policy for the Promotion of Agroindustry in Amapá with the primary objective of stimulating the creation of new agro-industrial enterprises, formalizing informal agro-industries, and enhancing the competitiveness of the agro-industrial sector. The law seeks to strengthen value-added processing of products derived from agriculture, livestock, aquaculture, and forestry while promoting sustainable economic, social, and environmental development. Its guiding principles include job and income generation, reduction of regional inequalities, technological modernization, increased productivity, food safety, administrative simplification, and the valorization of local culture and identity. The policy provides a framework for public actions aimed at fostering rural entrepreneurship, sustainable production, innovation, research, and technological development, particularly in relation to bioproducts. It promotes technical assistance, professional training, access to credit and rural insurance, cooperative and associative arrangements, integration between research institutions and the productive sector, and the development of local productive chains. The law also encourages the establishment of research centers, incubators and startups, the adoption of regenerative and organic practices, the creation of information systems and marketing channels, and support measures for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises to expand market opportunities and strengthen the agro-industrial economy of Amapá.
