Abstract
This Law creates the Agricultural and Livestock Protection Institute of the State of Mato Grosso, linked to the Secretariat of Agriculture (INDEA-MT). INDEA-MT is the coordinating and executing body of the State Agricultural and Livestock Protection Policy, and its purpose is to promote the standardization, preservation and inspection of renewable natural resources; fauna, flora and soil, in line with the guidelines of the State Environmental Council (CONDEMA); implementation of animal and plant health surveillance activities; inspection and classification of plant production. In particular, INDEA-MT is responsible for: I - planning, coordinating, standardizing and carrying out the State's agricultural and livestock related activities; II - promoting studies that support planning in these areas of competence; III - promoting the integration of activities in these areas at federal, state and municipal level; promoting the training and improvement of human resources in the area of agricultural and livestock protection, etc.
