Abstract
This Law establishes the State Policy on Tourism. The Policy will be in line with the guidelines laid down by the Federal Government regarding tourism in general, as well as the State Constitution of Rondônia, listing support and incentives for tourism as an economic activity, recognising it as a form of socio-cultural promotion and development. The has the principles of: decentralization; productive inclusion, fair and sustainable socio-economic development; and a balanced environment. Its objectives are: stimulate the development of tourism in the State, increasing the general population's well-being; help reduce regional social and economic disparities, promoting a better distribution of income and social inclusion; increase tourist flows, the average stay and spending of tourists in the state; encourage the creation, consolidation and dissemination of tourism products and destinations in the State; provide support for strategic fundraising programmes and projects; work in line with the Federal Government's Tourism Regionalization Programme; encourage sustainable tourism in natural areas; involving traditional and indigenous communities and populations in the sustainable development of tourism, etc.
