Law No. 7.193 regulating the consumption of forestry raw material and the modalities for complying with mandatory forestry replacement in the State of Piauí.

This Law regulates the consumption of forest raw materials and the modalities for complying with mandatory forest replacement in the State of Piauí, provided for in art. 33, § 1, of Federal Law No. 12.651 of 25 May 2012. Companies that use forest raw materials are obliged to supply resources from: forest management, carried out through a duly approved Sustainable Forest Management Plan-PMFS; suppression of natural vegetation, duly authorized; planted forests; and other sources of forest biomass, defined in specific standards of the competent environmental body. The sources of used forestry raw material must be reported annually to the competent body.
