Abstract
This Law establishes the State Tourism Policy with the objective of implementing mechanisms for the planning, development, promotion, and advancement of the tourism sector. The Policy shall be governed in accordance with the principles, guidelines and objectives established by Federal Law No. 11.771 of 17 September 2008, on the National Tourism Policy. The objectives of the policy are: promote access to tourism in the state for all the population, contributing to general well-being; contribute to the reduction of social and economic disparities in the region, promoting social inclusion through the growth of job opportunities, as well as the distribution of income to the populations of tourist destinations in the State of Amazonas; increase tourist flows, the length of stay and average spending of domestic and foreign tourists in the State, by promoting and supporting the development of regional tourism products; stimulate the creation and dissemination of regional tourism products; stimulate the events in the state, through integrated actions, trade fairs, professional, commercial, sporting and cultural events, congresses and incentive trips; enable the decentralisation of tourism, encouraging municipalities to plan their tourism activities in a sustainable manner, promoting the participation of host communities; promoting sustainable tourism in protected areas, etc.
