Abstract
This Law establishes a procurement preference policy within the State of Amazonas for the purchase of roasted coffee beans and ground roasted coffee of the Amazonian Robusta Coffee (Café Robusta Amazônico) variety. The main objective of the law is to support local agricultural production by requiring the State Administration to prioritize coffee sourced from family farming, rural family entrepreneurs, and other rural producers located in Amazonas when acquiring coffee for public consumption. This measure seeks to strengthen local value chains and encourage the commercialization of regionally produced agricultural products. By directing public procurement towards products supplied by family farmers and rural producers, the law aims to promote rural economic development and provide market opportunities for local agricultural communities. The measure also contributes to enhancing the visibility and competitiveness of Amazonian Robusta Coffee within the state while encouraging the participation of family-based agricultural enterprises in public supply systems.
