Abstract
This Law creates the State Policy for Community-Based Tourism within the State of Pará. The Policy is a socio-economic activity planned and carried out by rural and traditional communities that occupy and use territories and natural resources as a condition for its cultural, social, religious, ancestral and economic reproduction. The guidelines of this Law aim: to encourage Tourism activities on a Community-Based; promote methods of using natural resources in a sustainable manner, with respect of essential ecological processes and biological diversity; promote the direct use of resources in protected areas on a sustainable basis, preserving natural landscapes; encourage the creation of conservation units aimed at the valorization of traditional communities; promote the conservation of the natural landscape in areas of traditional communities; promote respect for the sociocultural authenticity of traditional peoples and communities, as well as the preservation of their cultural assets and traditional values; promote actions to increase intercultural understanding and tolerance; encourage long-term economic activities and sustainable tourism practices; support long-distance trails between conservation units and TBC centers, etc.
