Abstract
This Law establishes rules on the State Tourism Policy in the planning, development and stimulation of the tourism sector. It regulates the dissemination and promotion of the tourist destination, and the provision of tourist services. The Policy aims to: Democratize and provide access to tourism within the State for everyone, contributing to increasing general well-being; Reduce regional socio-economic disparities, promoting social inclusion through increased labour supply and better income distribution; Increase tourist flows, stay and average expenditure of national and foreign tourists in the State, by promoting and supporting the development of the State tourist product; Stimulate the creation, consolidation and dissemination of State tourist products, with a view to attracting national and foreign tourists, seeking to benefit, especially, regions with a lower level of socio-economic development; Provide support for strategic fund raising programmes, business fairs and exhibitions, incentive trips, congresses and national and international events, etc.
