Abstract
This Law defines the guidelines and objectives of the State Policy for Sustainable Nutritional Food Security (POESANS), provides for its management, financing mechanisms, monitoring and evaluation within the scope of the State System for Sustainable Food and Nutritional Security (SISANS). In addition, it establishes the parameters for the preparation and permanent review of the State Plan for Sustainable Nutritional Food Security. The specific objectives of the POESANS are: identify, analyze, publicize and act on the conditioning factors of food and nutritional insecurity in the State of Pará; articulate programmes, projects and actions from different sectors that respect, protect, promote and provide for the Human Right to Adequate Food (DHAA), observing social, cultural, environmental and ethnic-racial diversity, gender equality and sexual orientation, etc.; promote sustainable agroecological-based food production and distribution systems that respect biodiversity and strengthen family farming, indigenous peoples and traditional communities that ensure access and consumption to adequate and healthy food; and guarantee the Human Right to Adequate Food (DHAA), including access to water.
