Abstract
This law establishes the State Policy on Fire Safety in the State of Roraima, with the primary objective of protecting human life, the environment, and property through structured prevention, response, and risk‑reduction measures related to fires and accidents. The policy encompasses a range of coordinated activities involving both public authorities and private actors, including fire prevention, firefighting, rescue services, and accident response. It promotes the creation of safety programs, the regulation and supervision of firefighting services, and the development of technical and scientific capacities in fire prevention and management. In addition, the law aims to strengthen public awareness, institutional coordination, and community participation in fire safety efforts by integrating fire safety education into the school system and encouraging citizen training and community engagement. It supports the establishment of volunteer and municipal firefighting units, fosters partnerships between state authorities, municipalities, and private entities, and promotes the dissemination of fire prevention practices.
