Abstract
This Norm, consisting of 139 articles divided into 15 Chapters and completed by one Annex, regulates the procedures for the determination of administrative infractions for any activities harmful to the environment, the imposition of sanctions, the defense, the appeals system and the collection of fines within IBAMA. In particular, the Norm establishes the following matters: Definition and classification all the aspects related to the competent authority as well as offences and penalties; Competencies; Application of offences and penalties; Infringements; Administrative and legal proceedings; Judgement; etc. The Annex specifies the Indicators of severity levels.
Entry into force notes
This Norm enters into force on 1 January 2013.
