Abstract
This Norm, consisting of 37 articles divided into seven Chapters and two Annexes, establishes and regulates the categories of use and management of wild fauna in captivity, and defines, within IBAMA, the authorization procedures for the established categories. Its objective is to institute and standardize the categories of use and management of wild fauna in captivity (in particular crocodiles, Annex II), aiming at meeting the socio-cultural purposes, scientific research, conservation, exhibition, maintenance, breeding, reproduction, commercialization, slaughter of products and by-products, included in the Federal Technical Register of Potentially Polluting Natural Resource Users Activities (CTF). Relevant authorizations must be requested by completing the electronic form available in SisFauna. In order to request the Authorization for an Installation, the interested party must fill out the AI application form in SisFauna and submit specific documents.
