Order ADEPARÁ No. 2873/2009 approving the Regulation of the State Committee for the Control of Asian Soybean Rust.

This Order approves the Regulation of the State Committee for the Control of Asian Soybean Rust, approved by Order No. 2982/08. The Regulation, consisting of 16 articles, divided into seven Chapters, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Committee, as a technical and scientific association with the purpose of creating and making compatible forms of collaboration, as well as defining actions to develop the improvement and strengthening of the Control of Asian Soybean Rust in the State of Pará. The Committee is entitled to perform the following activities: a) coordinate the implementation of the Soybean Rust Control State Plan; b) play an advisory and educational role in the application and enforcement of the legal provisions pertinent to the Control of Asian Soybean Rust; c) assist in the creation of mechanisms to facilitate institutional involvement in the implementation of the State Plan for the Control of Asian Soybean Rust; d) maintain permanent articulation with the component organs of the Committee; e) create Regional Groups of Control of the Asian Rust of Soy in the State; f) propose educational campaigns to guide soy producers in the State; g) analyze proposals for the editing and modification of normative acts on the pest and suggest adjustments to the appropriateness considered appropriate.
