Order IAP No. 259 establishing the criteria and requirements for submission of the self-monitoring of Environmental Landfill Site in Paraná.

This Order IAP, consisting of 7 articles and one Annex, establishes the criteria and requirements for submission of the self-monitoring of Environmental Landfill Site in Paraná. This Self-monitoring procedures, are based on the control and periodic monitoring carried out by the main administrator of the landfill site and the technical manager of the landfill, on the operations performed within the landfill, its structures, groundwater and wastewater treatment systems (Leachate), through collection, measurement and analysis of the final effluent (treated), groundwater and the upstream and downstream receiver. The Self-Monitoring System is part of Polluting Activities Licensing System and its institutionalization aims to enable effective control of pollutant loads discharged in the state of Paraná water bodies and control over the environmental quality of groundwater and surface water and environmental situation in the areas of final disposal of solid waste.
