Abstract
This Order regulates 'Ucides cordatus cardatus' crab exploitation in North-Eastern States. This Order consists of 5 articles establishing the strict prohibition on fishing, transport, or every relevant activity concerning the exploitation of females of the aforementioned crab species and establishing as well minimum size for catching the males of this crab specie (4,5 cm.). It also establishes sanctions to be paid by offenders (including confiscating procedures) in compliance with article 71 of Decree-Law No. 221 of 28 February 1967 and Act No. 7.979 of 23 November 1988.
