Abstract
This Order establishes a periodical closed season for sardine fishing. It consists of 6 articles specifying closed season period (from 15 December to 28 April of every year) for "Sardinella brasiliensis" fishing. During closed season whatever activity relevant with these species (keeping, transport, trade, etc.) is strictly prohibited. Sanctions for offenders shall be applied in compliance with Decree-Law No. 221 of 28 February 1967 and Act No. 7.679 of 23 November 1988.
