Resolution Conama No. 452/2012 regulating the procedures for controlling imports of harmful waste.

This Resolution, consisting of 3 Chapters and 4 Annexes, regulates the procedures for controlling imports of harmful waste, according to norms adopted by the Convention of Basel on Harmful Waste Transport. It establishes the requirements to be met in order to perform the above mentioned activity and defines categories and classification of waste according to their risk for environment. The Resolution is divided as follows: General provisions (Chap. I); Prohibition and controlling procedures (Chap. II); Final provisions (Chap. III). Annexes list Dangerous waste classes.
