Abstract
This Resolution, consisting of 14 articles and one Annex, establishes general fishing rules for the Iguazu River basin and its effluents. In particular, it prohibits, in this hydrographic basin for commercial and amateur fishing the use of the following fishing gear, equipment and methods: nets, both of trawl of any nature; gillnets, longline and any other item; traps; artificial lighting in underwater fishing, except for research authorized by the competent agency; longlines and hooks; etc. In addition, it prohibits fishing activities for species such as: Surubim do Iguaçu, Monjolo Steindachneridion melanodermatum, Garavello, 2005; Lambari Astyanax gymnogenys (Eigenmann, 1911), provided for in MMA Ordinance No. 445 of 17 December 2014, which was recognized as fish species and aquatic invertebrates of Brazilian fauna threatened with extinction. The Annex specifies the List of Native Species allowed for Amateur Fishing.
