Abstract
This Code lays down general provisions on offences committed in The Bahamas and on board Bahamian vessel; general and special rules of criminal law; special provisions relating to certain offences, such as fraud; criminal responsibility and general exemptions; general rules relating to imprisonment, fine and penalties; and common offences relating to the public services, such as corruption.
More specifically, this Code sets out provisions on offences against females and children; offences against sanitation, including fouling drinking water; and offences, including fraud relating to trade; unlawful possession of animals and trees etc.; damage to trees, cattle and agricultural produce; polluting harbours and sea-shores; cruelty to animals; and selling unwholesome food.
