Abstract
By the authority granted by the Constitution, the Governor-General hereby makes a proclamation to declare that a state of public emergency exists in the Bahamas, with effect from 30th of June, 2020. According to the Constitution, the proclamation ceases to be in force for a period of fourteen days. That period may be extended with a resolution passed by each House of Parliament not exceeding six months or another proclamation shall be made at or before the end of that period.
