Abstract
These Rules, consisting of 10 Sections, are enacted to facilitate effective implementation of section 31 of Forest and Nature Conservation Act, 1995 on Fire Protection.
In order to manage forests requiring burning, the Department of Forest and Park Services shall develop guidelines to carry out control fire for management purposes. Section 4 provides for the functions of the relative Government authorities/agencies including the Ministry of Agriculture and Forest, the Department of Fore st and Park Services, Territorial Division/Park Services, Local Government and Thromdey, etc. Section 5 provides for the requirements and the responsibilities of individuals. Any person wishing to burn agricultural debris shall obtain valid permit from the concerned Geog Administration in rural areas and from the Thromdey Authority in urban areas.
