Abstract
This Act is enacted to amend the Local Government Act of Bhutan 2009.
In the Local Government Act of Bhutan 2009, Section 13 is amended as: The Parliament shall declare a certain geographical or administrative or economic area of the country as Thromde based on the recommendation of the government. The demarcation of Thromde boundary shall be carried out in consultation with the National Land Commission Secretariat, concerned local authority and land owners. In the Act, Section 15 is amended as: Thromde shall be of two types: 1) Dzongkhag Thromde; and 2) Dzongkhag Yenlag Thromde.
Section 90, 91 are repealed. Other amendments are made in Section 16, 17, 18, 30, 31, 49, 62, etc.
