Mineral Exploration Guidelines 2023.

These Guidelines provide details on requirements, procedures, specifications and standards for mineral exploration works in the Kingdom of Bhutan. Part I contains guidelines on various aspects of mineral exploration such as exploration permit, permit area, permit validity and renewal, transfer, suspension and termination of permit and compensation. The application procedures for exploration permit are laid down, and Department of Geology and Mines shall undertake inspections and monitoring for compliance. Part II provides for guidelines on mineral exploration by the Department of Geology and Mines. Part III contains general provisions such as code of exploration practices, stages of exploration, and social and environment management.
