Abstract
These Regulations, made under the Control of Goods, Prices and Other Charges Act, allow importation of eggs and poultry meat only to take place with a written permit issued under these Regulations by the Minister for the time being responsible for agriculture or by a person authorized by him or her in that behalf. Applications shall be made to the Government poultry office. The importer of eggs or poultry meat under an import permit shall present the import permit for verification to an officer at the place of entry of the eggs or poultry meat. An import permit shall be valid in respect of one consignment alone, whether of eggs or poultry meat or of both eggs and poultry meat.
