Abstract
These Regulations implement provisions of the Environmental Impact Assessment Act, 2011 with respect to, among other things, procedures for environmental impact assessment and public participation, and registration and certification of practitioners. They also concern the compliance with Code of Conduct by practitioners and specify in the Schedules: activities to which the Act shall apply; forms for purposes of the Act. The Schedules set out of forms of, among other things, the Project brief, the Environmental management plan, an Environmental impact statement and Terms of reference, and specify contents of a Plan, Environmental impact statement or Project Brief. The competent authority shall, in conducting a public hearing referred to in section 11 of the Act, invite comments from the public. A practitioner registered under these Regulations shall comply with the Code of Conduct of Practitioners in Form F set out in Schedule 4 to these Regulations. The Board may suspend the registration of a practitioner who fails to comply with the Code of Conduct.
