Abstract
These Regulations lay down rules relative to the labelling of food packaged or made up in advance in a container ready for offer to the consumer or for catering purposes (“prepackaged food”). These Regulations apply to prepackaged food imported into, sold, distributed or manufactured in Botswana. The Regulations prescribe general principles of labelling and lay down rules relative to mandatory labelling requirements and the presentation of mandatory information. The Regulations also formulate exemptions and prescribe offences.
