Okavango-Cubango River Basin - Botswana National Action Plan 2011-2016.

This National Action Plan (NAP) consists of 9 parts divided into 45 articles: Part I-Background; Part II-Description of the Botswana part of the Okavango/Cubango river Basin; Part III-Nap principles; Part IV-Governance framework; Part V-Drivers and priority areas of concernl; Part VI-Management interventions of animals for slaughter and inspection of export slaughter houses and abattoirs; Part VII-General provisions. The aims and purposes of this Plan are to promote the sustainable management, development and use of natural resources in the Okavango Delta in order to improve livelihoods, conserve biodiversity and protect the ecosystem. One of the main objectives of the NAP is therefore to strengthen and improve the coordination of all the relevant plans and strategies in the Okavango Delta.
