Agreement between the Government of the Belarus and the Government of Azerbaijan on cooperation in the area of plant quarantine and plant protection.

The Parties shall cooperate in the sphere of plant quarantine and shall undertake the necessary measures to prevent the introduction and spread of pests with transported products subject to quarantine inspection. Competent authorities of the Parties shall exchange information on newly introduced pests and the measures adopted to prevent their spread. The Parties shall exchange normative documentation and legislative acts regulating quarantine and plant protection arrangements. Each consignment subject to quarantine inspection shall be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate. In case of identification of live pests during phytosanitary inspection, the competent authorities of the Parties shall have the right to disinfect, destroy or return the consignment to the exporter with an accompanying note.
