Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the activities of border commissioners.

This Agreement shall be applicable to border water courses intended as water areas of rivers, lakes and other waterbodies through which passes state border between the Parties. At checkpoint across the state border can be performed sanitary, quarantine, veterinary, phytosanitary and other inspections of natural persons and motor vehicles. Chief border commissioners shall perform the following functions: (a) implementation of international treaties related to border issues; (b) assessment of the situation on state border; (c) examine issues related to transboundary effects of natural and technological disasters; (d) inform the other Party of natural and technological disasters, transboundary water pollution, and application of quarantine; and (e) perform other functions envisaged by international agreements between the Parties.
