Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of Armenia on Cooperation in the Field of Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy.

The Parties shall cooperate in the following areas: (a) development, design, construction and operation of nuclear power plants, research reactors and other nuclear facilities in the territory Parties; (b) safety of nuclear power plants, development and improvement of the systems of diagnostics and control of the main equipment of nuclear power plants, systems for support of operation and system for eliminating accidents at nuclear power plants; (c) storage and processing of spent nuclear fuel; (d) radioactive waste management; (e) storage of radiation sources; (f) accounting and control of nuclear materials, physical protection of nuclear energy facilities and facilities for storing of spent radioactive sources of radiation; (g) nuclear safety, protection against radiation, and radiation impact of nuclear power facilities on the surrounding environment; (h) training of specialists in the field of nuclear energy and operative personnel of nuclear power stations in higher educational institutions and educational-training centers of the Parties on the agreed programs; and (i) implementation of fundamental and applied research in the field of use of atomic energy for peaceful purposes.
