Agreement between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Poland on good neighborhood and friendly cooperation.

The Contracting Parties will facilitate the establishment and development of direct contacts and cooperation between their administrative-territorial units. Particular attention will be paid to cooperation in the border areas. Ethnic minorities in both countries shall be granted the right to public participation directly and through freely elected representatives at the national and local government levels. The Contracting Parties will promote the development of direct ties between public and private enterprises. The Contracting Parties will cooperate in the field of environmental security and rational use of natural resources, expansion of ecofriendly processes and technologies, ecological awareness and the creation of the comprehensive system of environmental security. The Contracting Parties will cooperate in the field of creation, use and improvement of environmentally friendly production and technology. The Contracting Parties shall prevent causing environmental damages to each other.
