Decree No. 2 of the Ministry of Public Health validating the Sanitary rules and regulations “Requirements for performance of work with potentially pathogenic microorganisms and pathogenic biological agents, registration, storage, transfer and transportation thereof”.

This Decree sets forth requirements for performance of work with potentially pathogenic microorganisms and pathogenic biological agents, registration, storage, transfer and transportation thereof. The scope of this Decree shall be to ensure biosafety aimed at protection of personnel, population and environment against risks of impact of potentially pathogenic microorganisms and pathogenic biological agents. It lists rules and mandatory requirements for accredited laboratories operating with potentially pathogenic microorganisms and pathogenic biological agents, including safety requirements for dealing with test laboratory animals, disinfection and disinfestation arrangements.
