Decree No. 30 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food validating Veterinary and Sanitary Regulation on keeping and growing of cattle at stockbreeding farms.

This Veterinary and Sanitary Regulation on keeping and growing of cattle at stockbreeding farms sets forth mandatory requirements for legal entities and natural persons, including individual entrepreneurs, for the safety of works and services related to the keeping, growing, breeding, transportation and trade of cattle. Legal entities and individual entrepreneurs performing keeping, breeding, transportation and trade of cattle, must: (a) ensure the application of veterinary arrangements in keeping and breeding of cattle at livestock complexes; (b) on request of specialists in veterinary medicine of State Veterinary Service submit all necessary information about the purchased animals and create conditions for their clinical examination and diagnostic studies. On the territory of the cattle-breeding complex shall be prohibited: (a) keeping other animal species; (b) introduction of cattle and the movement of cattle without prior authorization of veterinarian in the agricultural organization; and (c) visiting by an extraneous person of the cattle-breeding complex. In case of necessity to visit the territory and production facilities of livestock complex, an authorization shall be issued by the competent veterinary authority. The selection of cattle from the supplier is carried out under control of veterinary specialists of supplier or veterinarian of cattle-breeding complex. Forming of livestock complexes shall be performed with dehorned calves aged 20-30 days.
