Decree No. 41 of the Forestry Ministry validating the Regulation on registration of the number of wild fauna species subject to hunting.

This Decree regulates periodicity, details, particulars and various methods of registration of the number of wild fauna species subject to hunting. Registration shall consist of: (a) registration of absolute number (species) in a determined area; (b) registration of relative number in comparison with data related to the previous years; and (c) expert assessment through available population data, questionnaires, observation in hunting reserves and data obtained from state register of wild fauna species. Annual registration of absoluter number shall be compulsory for the following species: (a) auroch (Bison bonasus) of reserve genetic fund; (b) elk; (c) red deer; (d) roe deer; (e) wild boar; (f) wolf; (g) bear; (h) lynx; (i) wood grouse; and (j) black grouse.
