Decree No. 511 of the Council of Ministers validating the Regulation on Belarusian Manufacturing and Trade Concern of Forestry, Woodworking and the Pulp and Paper Industry.

This Regulation establishes that Belarusian Manufacturing and Trade Concern of Forestry, Woodworking and the Pulp and Paper Industry shall be state association of state and other legal entities, a non-commercial organization subordinated to the Council of Ministers. Members of the aforesaid association shall retain the rights of legal persons, which can be restricted or modified in other manner in accordance with the acting legislation. Belarusian Manufacturing and Trade Concern of Forestry, Woodworking and the Pulp and Paper Industry shall have the status of legal person. The Concern shall be focused on general administration, management, coordination of activities and representation of the interests of the members of association in the forestry, woodworking and pulp and paper industries. The main tasks of the Concern shall be: (a) conducting scientific and technical, economic and social policies aimed at creating conditions for effective work of the participants of the Concern, in order to meet the needs of the economy and the population in the products manufactured by the Concern; (b) development of forecasts for production, technical and financial and economic development of forestry, woodworking and pulp and paper industry; (c) fulfillment by the participants of the concern of the annually approved parameters of the forecast of the social and economic development of the Republic of Belarus; (d) ensuring the increase in production and trade, expanding the range of products of the participants of the Concern, improving its quality and competitiveness; (e) participation together with the national bodies of state management, local executive and administrative bodies, organizations in providing the participants of the Concern with raw materials; (f) development of the distribution network of the participants of the concern abroad; and (g) attraction of investments for technical re-equipment and modernization of the enterprises of the concern's participants.
