Decree No. 562 of the Council of Ministers validating Regulation on state registration of the sources of ionizing radiation.

This Decree establishes the modalities of state registration of the sources of ionizing radiation and granting access to information related thereto. Department of nuclear and radiation safety within the Ministry of Emergency Situations shall be authorized to carry out state registration of the sources of ionizing radiation. Sources of ionizing radiation pertaining to the property of the Republic of Belarus shall be subject to compulsory registration free of charge. This Decree shall not be applicable to radioactive waste, materials and substances contaminated by radionuclides of Chernobyl origin. The objectives of state registration shall be listing of the sources of ionizing radiation and evaluation of the state of radiation safety.
