Abstract
National Strategy for management of solid domestic waste and secondary material resources for the period until 2035 is a cross-sectoral nationwide policy document that determines a system of goals, objectives, and priorities that must be implemented in the normative legal acts, acts of local government bodies, state programs, regional programs, sectoral programs, investment projects aimed at creating environmentally safe and cost-effective systems of management of municipal solid waste and secondary material resources. The goal of the National Strategy for management of solid domestic waste and secondary material resources for the period until 2035 shall be to define the main directions minimizing the harmful impact of solid domestic waste on human health, environment and rational use of environmental stewardship through prevention of waste generation and the maximum possible recovery of components contained in waste (organics, scrap metal, paper and cardboard, glass, polymers, textiles, worn tires etc.), involvement thereof in the economic turnover as additional sources of raw materials.
