Decree No. 57 of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection validating the Regulation on procedures of release of nonpathogenic GMOs to environment.

This Decree sets forth the procedure for release of nonpathogenic GMOs to environment and testing thereof at the moment of release. Testing shall be performed by legal persons and individual entrepreneurs, subject to prior release of authorization by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, on experimental testing fields and in fenced-in areas. Testing must envisage arrangements for possible risks prevention in relation to possible negative environmental impact by GMO and arrangements in case of the outbreak of environmental disaster.
