Decree No. 78 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food validating the Regulation on supervision over contents of hazardous substances and MRL in livestock and foodstuffs of animal origin destined for export to the European Union.

This Decree establishes the procedure for supervision over contents of hazardous substances and MRL in livestock and foodstuffs of animal origin destined for export to the European Union. The aforesaid substances shall be classified in two categories: (a) substances of anabolic action prohibited for use in stockbreeding; and (b) veterinary drugs, including prohibited substances, that can be used in veterinary, and also chemical pollutants. The scope of supervision shall be to ensure food quality control, food safety and protection of human health. Competent body for performance of supervision shall be the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
