Decree No. 9 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food validating the Regulation on sanitary and veterinary inspection of foodstuffs of vegetable origin at food markets.

This Decree establishes the modalitis of sanitary and veterinary inspection of foodstuffs of vegetable origin at food markets to be performed by authorized veterinary and sanitary laboratories. The following produce shall be subject to mandatory inspection: (a) vegetables (fresh, sour, pickled); (b) greenery, fresh fruits, berries (fresh, dried, air-dried, soaked); and (c) seeds and mushrooms (fresh, dried). Inspection shall include: (a) organoleptical properties in accordance with indices specified in the Annex 1; (b) nitrates contents; and (c) radionuclides contents.
