Abstract
The Parties shall cooperate in the sphere of environmental protection, prevention of transboundary pollution, rational and resource saving nature management, and also nature rehabilitation. The Parties shall cooperate at the international and regional levels for the purpose of creation of global ecological safety and information system. The Parties shall render mutual assistance in case of emergency situations and natural disasters (art. 15).

The Agreement entered into force on 14 March 2002.
Notes
This Agreement shall be valid for ten years and it will be automatically extended for five-year periods unless one of the Parties informs the other, in writing, of its decision to terminate it a year before the expiry date.
