Abstract
This Law primarily focuses on the legal framework governing fire safety on the national territory. The organization of extinguishing fires that occur during the production, storage and use of explosives, on vehicles en route, in forests, as well as at facilities located on the territory of military units, in underground workings and mine structures, with the exception of subway facilities being built in the underground spaces of the city of Minsk, is assigned to the relevant state bodies and organizations that are the owners of these facilities. The overarching objective is to establish a comprehensive system of fire safety norms and standards, which include mandatory technical regulations and international agreements. Key legal principles include the obligation of state authorities to implement fire safety measures and the authority of fire safety oversight bodies to issue binding requirements and recommendations. Significant measures outlined in the document include the authority to suspend the activities of organizations or halt the use of buildings and equipment that pose fire safety risks until violations are rectified.
