Law No. 51-Z amending Water Code (Law No. 149-Z).

Article 14 shall be amended to add the following wording: “State and other programs, regional complex arrangements for protection and use of water shall be elaborated for rational (sustainable) use of water resources, conservation and restoration of waterbodies, achievement of good and excellent ecological state (status) of surface waterbodies (parts thereof). State programs in the field of water protection and use shall be elaborated by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection in coordination with the state bodies (organizations) concerned, and shall be subject to approval by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus”.
