Abstract
The Parties shall promote and take measures to expand the diversification of supplies of fuel and energy resources: oil, electricity, coal, natural gas. The Parties shall annually coordinate the energy balances of their power systems with regard to the supply of electricity from Ukraine's energy system to the energy system of the Republic of Belarus. The Parties shall ensure unhindered transit of natural gas and oil from third countries through their networks within the available technical capabilities, create favorable conditions for loading existing and construction of new transport networks and facilities for the transit of natural gas and oil, increase in transit volumes, take appropriate measures to ensure reliable and stable operation of the main gas pipelines and oil pipelines passing through the territories of the Republic of Belarus and Ukraine. The Parties shall ensure the timely exchange of regulatory legal acts related to cooperation performed within the framework of this Memorandum.

This Memorandum entered into force on 22 March 2011.
Notes
This Memorandum is valid for five years and shall be automatically extended for subsequent five-year periods, unless one of the Parties sends the other Party written notice of its intention to terminate it no later than six months before the date of its expiry.
