Memorandum of Understanding between еру Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus and the Department of Civil Protection subordinated to the Presidium of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic on cooperation in the field of prevention and liquidation of emergency situations of natural and technogenic origin.

The purpose of this Memorandum shall be to promote bilateral cooperation in the field of prevention and liquidation of emergency situations of natural and technogenic origin that may occur on the territory of one of the Parties. The cooperation specified in this Memorandum shall be implemented by the Parties in accordance with national legislation, international obligations and, as far as it concerns the Italian Republic, obligations arising from participation in the European Union. Cooperation may include the following forms: (a) exchange of experience and information in the field of prevention and liquidation of emergency situations and civil defense; (b) exchange of scientific and technical information and development of joint projects; (c) development of a strategy and methodology for reducing overall risks; (d) development of procedures for possible mutual assistance in case of outbreak of natural and technogenic disasters on the territory of one of the Parties; and (e) organization of training courses, seminars and workshops on coordinated topics to be held in Belarus and Italy.
