Abstract
The Contracting Parties, within their competence and in compliance with national legislation, will render assistance in developing cooperation between organizations and business entities of the Republic of Belarus and the Lao People's Democratic Republic carrying out activities in the field of agriculture. The Contracting Parties shall cooperate in the following areas: (a) crop growing; (b) stockbreeding; (c) mechanization of agricultural production; (d) technology in the sphere of agriculture; (e) scientific research in agriculture; and (f) phytosanitary and veterinary supervision. Cooperation shall be performed in the following forms: (a) exchange of information and technical documentation; (b) introduction of new technologies in stockbreeding and crop production; (c) assistance to joint-ventures; and (d) organization and holding of fairs, exhibitions, seminars, conferences and symposia.

This Memorandum entered into force on 1 July 2013.
Notes
This Memorandum is valid for five years and shall be automatically extended for subsequent five-year periods, unless one of the Parties sends the other Party written notice of its intention to terminate it no later than six months before the date of its expiry.
