Abstract
The Parties will take the necessary measures to verify the commodities subject to quarantine inspection for import, export and transit through the territory of the Parties, in accordance with their national legislation lists of quarantine pests that the competent bodies of the Parties exchange twice a year through diplomatic channels after the entry into force of this Memorandum. The Parties must ensure the inspection of quarantine products in the process of its production, processing, transportation and storage for the purpose of determining presence or absence of quarantine pests that cause harm to plants and plant products. The Parties pledge: (a) to adopt effective measures for the prevention of introduction of pests and quarantine objects from the territory of one Party to the territory of another Party; (b) exchange rules and regulations related to quarantine provisions; and (c) exchange of information on the appearance and spreading of quarantine pests and of scientific research information related to plant protection and quarantine.
